Sugar Bowl Teams
Sugar Bowl has had a rich and storied history in the sport of ski racing. From the famed Silver Belt race to the US National Alpine Championships Sugar Bowl has always been a place where the best in the world love to compete. From Sugar Bowl Ambassador and World Champion Daron Rahlves to the legendary Mahre brothers or the likes of Stein Ericksen or Billy the Kidd “The Bowl” has always been a place for the best in the world to compete.

With the new addition of our Snowboard Team, Sugar Bowl is the perfect place to bring the family. Our Snowboard team is a developmental group that offers coaching to kids from the ages 7-18. This program is to focus on the development of youth snowboarders in all terrain to make strong talented athletes.

Sugar Bowl Ski Team
The highly successful Sugar Bowl Ski Team provides freeride and ski racing programs for children as young as 5 years old and up as well as a racing program for adults. While alumni include U.S. Ski Team members and they had nearly 40 athletes compete in various Junior Olympic events last season, their main objective is to provide a fun environment for kids to learn to love the sport of skiing. They emphasize character development and recently received a national honor from the Positive Coaching Alliance (link). Further information and a wait-list application available at www.sbst.org.

This all goes without mentioning the Freeride terrain that makes Sugar Bowl the best place to ride the steep and deep powder of the Sierras.
